Kids love to paint, and it’s always a proud moment when your cherub gives you a masterpiece created with their own chubby little hands. However, my toddler still sees the world through his taste-buds, meaning I’m wary of letting him loose with the paints as just as much ends up in his mouth as on the paper. Even though paint for kids is pretty safe, I’d still prefer to know exactly what’s going into that little stomach and I’d be much happier if it was only made up of stuff that I’d gladly use at dinnertime. Luckily, Rachelle over at Tinkerlab obviously feels the same way and has put together this great tutorial for home made paint, using only simple store-cupboard ingredients. As well as setting my mind at ease over the certainty of some of this being ingested, a big batch of this is so cheap that it won’t matter when the inevitable spills occur! Now, if only I could find a way to render it invisible on any surface but paper…
